    Overview

BPC-157 and TB-500 are two of the most frequently studied peptides in what suppliers commonly categorize as the “recovery” group. They are structurally unrelated but are often examined together — including in combination blends. This article covers what each is, how they differ structurally, and why they appear so often in the same research contexts.

    BPC-157

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic peptide consisting of a 15-amino-acid sequence. Its sequence corresponds to a partial fragment of a protein identified in gastric juice. As a stable, well-characterized peptide, it is a common subject of laboratory study.

    TB-500

TB-500 is a synthetic peptide fragment related to thymosin beta-4, a protein found in many cell types. Rather than being the full thymosin beta-4 protein, TB-500 corresponds to a synthetic fragment of it. Like BPC-157, it is a well-defined synthetic peptide widely used in research.

    How They Differ

The two compounds come from entirely different structural origins — BPC-157 from a gastric protein fragment, TB-500 from a thymosin beta-4 fragment. They are not variants of one another. What groups them together is not structure but research context: both are studied within the same broad category, and researchers examining that category often work with both.

    Why They’re Studied Together

Because BPC-157 and TB-500 are frequently examined in the same research programs, they are also offered as a combination blend — sold by PX-Labs as Wolverine. A blend provides both compounds in a single vial, which some researchers prefer over reconstituting two separately for combination studies. The individual compounds remain available on their own for studies isolating one or the other.

    Handling

Both are supplied lyophilized and follow standard peptide handling: refrigerated or frozen storage for the lyophilized powder, protection from light and moisture, and refrigerated storage of reconstituted solution with a shorter usable window. Bacteriostatic water is used for reconstitution.

    Research Use Only

BPC-157 and TB-500 are sold strictly for laboratory and scientific research. They are not intended for human or veterinary use. PX-Labs is a research chemical supplier, not a compounding pharmacy, and does not provide usage, dosing, or application guidance.
