About this accessory
Overview
Bacteriostatic water (BAC water) is a sterile diluent used to reconstitute lyophilized research peptides. PX-Labs offers it as an accessory alongside its research compounds, for laboratory research use only.
Background
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing a small amount of benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic agent, which limits microbial growth and allows the diluent to be drawn from more than once. Because the research peptides in this catalog are supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder, a diluent such as BAC water is required to bring them into solution. PX-Labs lists it as a standalone accessory so researchers can source it together with their compounds.
Specifications
- Product
- Bacteriostatic water (sterile diluent, ~0.9% benzyl alcohol)
- Use
- Reconstitution of lyophilized research peptides
- Available sizes
- 3ml, 10ml
- Category
- Accessory — not a research compound itself
Handling & Storage
Bacteriostatic water is generally stored at room temperature or refrigerated and kept sealed until use, per standard laboratory practice. Once opened, it is handled and stored according to the same general lab conventions that apply to multi-use sterile diluents.
Research Use Only
BAC water is sold strictly for laboratory and scientific research use, as an accessory for reconstituting research materials. It is not intended for human or veterinary use, and PX-Labs is a research chemical supplier, not a compounding pharmacy. PX-Labs does not provide usage, dosing, or application guidance.
